Non-Surgical Restoration for Women

You may have experienced hair replacement from a storefront wig shop or shopping mall hair cart, but when you are ready for “real” hair, come to Jernigans'!
REALLUSIONS©

Many women still think of the days when replacing or enhancing hair meant covering the entire head with a machine made wig. With Reallusions©, we keep as much of your existing hair showing as possible., We only add hair where you need it, then artfully blend it into your existing hair with color, style and wave/curl techniques that keep it undetectable. Since Jernigan’s uses only the finest human hair it bends, curls, bounces and falls back into place just like your existing hair. You will have unlimited styling options since your hair style no longer needs to center around covering thinning areas.

ALOPECIA

Jernigan’s has extensive experience in replacing hair for all ages of people with alopecia. These are some examples:

  • Androgenic Alopecia – Inherited male or
    female pattern baldness.

  • Alopecia Areata – Hair loss which occurs in patchy areas on the scalp.

  • Alopecia Totalis – Hair loss over the entire scalp.

  • Alopeica Universalis- Hair loss over the entire body, including the scalp, eyebrows, arm and leg hair and pubic hair.

  • Traction Alopecia – Hair loss which occurs due to excessive tension placed on hair. Commonly seen with braids, pony tails and other hairstyles which pull on the scalp.
CHEMICAL DAMAGE

Depending on the extent of the damage, laser hair therapy may help or non-surgical replacement can restore chemically damaged hair.

CHEMOTHERAPY

Jernigan’s works with women undergoing chemotherapy for breast and other cancers. We like to get to know these clients before they start chemotherapy, so that they can become comfortable with us and we can get to know them before the hair loss process starts. Then, during the trauma of hair fall-out , they already feel comfortable with us and our facility which helps ease the emotional turmoil during this time. By knowing what a woman’s hair looked like prior to fall-out, we can help duplicate this style during replacement, or go off in a totally different direction, whatever helps the female psyche during this trying time.
