A no-shave FUE follows similar steps to the traditional FUE procedure, however, instead of shaving the donor area, neither the donor area nor recipient area are shaved. The no-shave FUE involves trimming individual hairs that are being taken from the donor area. These trimmed hairs are easily concealed by the rest of the surrounding hair when the hair is combed back into place. This method preserves the client’s original hairstyle, as the donor area is undetectable.

This method avoids both the linear scar of an FUT procedure, and the shaving aspect of the traditional FUE procedure. It is the only transplant procedure that does not require any shaving of the donor area, which means there is no dramatic change in the original hairstyle the client comes in with.
